Mr. Kania is Vice President of Business and Finance & Treasurer at Rollins College and has served in that position since June 2018. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Finance and Administration at Davidson College since 2010, and served in other leadership roles at the institution since 1990. Before his tenure at Davidson College, he worked in the audit practice of Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) for 6 years and prior to that he was controller of an international architectural firm. Mr. Kania is a presenter, teacher and mentor through the National Association of College and University Business Officers (“NACUBO”) and other professional organizations. He is a past member of the Small Institutions Councils of NACUBO, the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers and the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers. Mr. Kania’s community service includes serving as vice-chair of the board of Pines at Davidson, an independent, not-for-profit CCRC located in Davidson, North Carolina. He was also a board member of Private College 529 Plan, Davidson Community Players, and Educational & Institutional Insurance Administrators, Inc. Mr. Kania is originally from Philadelphia and received his B.S. in Accounting from Saint Joseph’s University
