When you’re evaluating Life Plan Communities (LPCs), it’s critical to ask about staff turnover because the people who will serve and care for you truly become extended family. At The Mayflower, we are exceptionally proud that we have one of the most impressive employee retention rates in the country. While employee retention at LPCs nationwide hovers between only 15% and 20% annually, ours remains consistent at more than 85% — a testament to the friendly, comfortable, and stable atmosphere we’ve created.

In fact, many of our team members have been with us since we first opened our doors. That translates into consistency and continuity, enabling our residents to build relationships with staff members they know and trust.

Since we first opened in 1989, our best-in-class environment and vibrant, welcoming ambience have attracted residents who seek exceptional living in a community where friendship, growth and connection blossom. Where you have abundant opportunities for wellness and fitness, dining and entertainment, lifelong learning, art and culture. And where you can design a lifestyle around your individual needs.

Mayflower residents have the freedom to do this because they no longer have to worry about the what-ifs. They know that our dedicated, caring, experienced staff will be here for them, day in and day out, no matter the circumstance. And they know that if they ever need skilled nursing or memory support, they have guaranteed access to high-quality, award-winning care right on campus.

Maintaining a standard of excellence over many years requires both vision and vigilance: the ability to anticipate industry and market changes and adapt to them accordingly. That was the impetus behind an ambitious strategic master plan that led to a recent major expansion and the construction of our Bristol Landing neighborhood, new Health Center, Club House & Cru Quarters restaurant.

Even though that expansion was a significant milestone in the history of our community, we didn’t rest on our laurels. We’ve moved forward with a series of refurbishments to our main campus, including converting our former Health Center to enhanced Assisted Living residences. And … we’ve already begun our next strategic planning process to be ready for yet another generation of residents. Simply put: Our commitment to excellence means that we never stop evolving. We never stop improving. And we never stop investing in the future … your future.
