Mr. Shaheen is a Senior Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager at South State Bank, a regional financial services firm serving six Southeastern states. He has been in that role since April 2015. Prior to that, he served in similar roles, including Senior Lending Officer, for a number of community and regional banks in the Central Florida marketplace. He has been involved in the banking industry since 1982.

Mr. Shaheen received his Bachelors Degree/Finance from the University of Florida in 1981, and his Masters in Business Administration from Stetson University in 1985. He also is a graduate of the School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University.

Mr. Shaheen is a Rotarian, having served as a Past President and Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club of Winter Park. He also served as the Chair of that club’s Charitable Foundation, and presently serves as a Trustee. He is a past Board member of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Shaheen is originally from Merritt Island, Florida, lived in the Middle East during his childhood, and since 1997 has called Longwood home.
