Our holistic approach to health and wellness is designed to provide residents with multiple opportunities to enjoy life for as long as possible in an independent fashion with conveniences, key services, and a vibrant environment for enriched living.
Well-rounded programming at The Mayflower are built on four key components of brain health and fitness — socialization, mental stimulation, spirituality, and physical activity. We offer lifelong learning opportunities, health and wellness programs, cultural activities, travel opportunities, and more.
You can choose to join a group discussion of current events, hear from a guest lecturer, explore with a travel group, pursue lifelong learning opportunities, pick up a paint brush, or take a ballroom dancing class – the options to stay engaged and on the move are plentiful.
The wellness clinic provides a number of helpful services to independent living residents, such as general health services as well as assistance with some daily activities, including medication management, wound care, blood pressure checks, physician appointment scheduling, and more. Our dedicated team also responds to call-button calls around the clock and serves as the frontline to ensure our residents are properly cared for in every way needed.
The on-site office is a personalized physician’s practice that operates independently, serving as a primary benefit to independent living residents who may elect to use an on-site health professional rather than a professional in the local community. This benefit affords residents the convenience of having a primary care doctor nearby who can be part of future decisions that may require a higher level of care, such as assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, and more.
It’s so necessary to keep moving. As older adults, it’s even more important to push your limits. So we keep pursuing physical, intellectual and social activities – they’re all critical.
