Live Your
Best Life
Our holistic approach to health and wellness is designed to provide residents with multiple opportunities to enjoy life for as long as possible in an independent fashion with conveniences, key services, and a vibrant environment for enriched living.
Continuum of
care
The Mayflower is an independent living Life Plan Community that offers a full continuum of care. Within our campus, we have everything residents need for a quality lifestyle with the availability of quality care should it ever be needed, including assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing. Simply stated, there’s no need to worry about the future when you call us home! Let us handle all the how-tos and what-ifs for you — from maintenance-free living to specialized levels of care available at our community for your peace of mind.
Lifecare
advantage
As a Life Plan Community, The Mayflower offers residents the benefit of independent living within a vital and socially active community, along with the covenant of lifecare and medical assistance if and when those services are needed. Our lifecare advantage assures residents that future care is available, while enjoying thriving opportunities in the present to living life to the fullest with amenities such as utilities, maintenance, a dining plan, housekeeping, and social, recreational, and lifelong learning programs.
Wellness
Clinic
The wellness clinic provides a number of helpful services to independent living residents, such as general health services as well as assistance with some daily activities, including medication management, wound care, blood pressure checks, physician appointment scheduling, and more. Our dedicated team also responds to call-button calls around the clock and serves as the frontline to ensure our residents are properly cared for in every way needed.
On-site
doctor’s office
The on-site office is a personalized physician’s practice that operates independently, serving as a primary benefit to independent living residents who may elect to use an on-site health professional rather than a professional in the local community. This benefit affords residents the convenience of having a primary care doctor nearby who can be part of future decisions that may require a higher level of care, such as assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, and more.
In-house Physician
Dr. Shukla
The Mayflower at Winter Park is excited to welcome to Dr. Shukla, our new Mayflower On-Site Physician. Dr. Shukla is board certified in internal medicine. He has been working in Central Florida since 2009. After graduating from medical school in Pune, India, he moved to Pennsylvania to complete his residency at Easton Hospital, a hospital affiliated with Drexel University School of Medicine in Philadelphia where he was the Chief Medical Resident. Judging from the comments of our residents who have already met Dr. Shukla, his love of medicine shows in the type of compassionate care that he offers to his patients in the office.
THE MAYFLOWER
health center
As part of our campus expansion, we have proudly opened the four-story health center, designed around a household model that is inviting and homelike, features all-private rooms in its 60-bed Allerton Cove skilled nursing and rehabilitation center and 24-unit Stafford Shores memory support area. Among the many distinguishing features of the facility is the short-term rehab center, which was designed with a hospitality focus and gives the area its own ambience.
