Health. Happiness. Peace of mind. At The Mayflower, we believe in creating an environment where residents can enjoy life at their own pace, without worries – and nowhere is that more apparent than our award-winning on-campus healthcare.
Newsweek magazine recently announced that The Mayflower Health Center (Allerton Cove Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation) will be featured on the upcoming list of America’s Best Nursing Homes 2025. This latest recognition follows a series of other accolades over the past two years – including the prestigious Governor’s Gold Seal award, a 5-star rating from Medicare, and being named one of the nation’s Best Nursing Homes for 2022/23 by US News & World Report.
“Once again, we are proud that Allerton Cove has been acknowledged as one of the nation’s best,” said Steve Kramer, president and CEO. “This honor reflects our community’s commitment to top-quality care and excellence across the board.”
Adds Ben Anderson, Director of Health Services: “Allerton Cove has an outstanding team of healthcare professionals who work tirelessly around the clock to deliver exceptional patient care. Their dedication made this recognition possible.”
The America’s Best Nursing Homes 2025 ranking lists the nation’s leading nursing homes in the 25 states with the highest number of facilities according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). In addition to data from CMS, the evaluation is based on information gathered from a national online survey of thousands of medical professionals; accreditation data provided by The Joint Commission (TJC) and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF); and Google reviews reflecting resident satisfaction.
The award-winning Allerton Cove is part of our state-of-the-art 84,842-sq.-ft. Health Center, which opened its doors in 2022. From the outset, it was envisioned as a different kind of healthcare experience in a welcoming, homelike atmosphere: At Allerton Cove, all-private rooms are centered around a “neighborhood” model, featuring sunrooms, living areas with fireplaces, and full country kitchens.
In addition to skilled nursing, the Health Center is also home to Memory Support at Stafford Shores and a hospitality-focused short-term Rehab Center that can provide care for a wide array of conditions – including hip and knee replacements, stroke and neurological recovery, and pain management – in a bright, spacious environment.
But what truly sets The Mayflower’s healthcare apart isn’t just our commitment to quality service and expert care. It’s the continuity of a Life Plan that provides a cohesive experience every step of the way, so you never have to worry about moving elsewhere to find a different level of care.
