KENNETH W. BRADLEY
Ken Bradley is the Director of Emerging Leaders for AdventHealth, one of America’s top ten largest healthcare systems. Bradley manages over 80 residents and summer interns. These high-potential leaders are destined for C-Suite positions within AdventHealth.
Bradley retired from Florida Hospital (now known as AdventHealth Orlando) in January 2018 after 32 years of service. Bradley served 24 years in various CEO | COO roles. Collectively, four generations of the Bradley family served Florida Hospital over 180 years.
Bradley has driven superior performance in clinical excellence, employee engagement, patient experience, community relations and positive financial outcomes. He is a keen developer of leaders. Nine of Ken’s associates have become Hospital CEO’s | CFO’s or major leaders of importance within AdventHealth or other hospital systems. Bradley has also developed dozens of directors and other leaders.
Ken’s leadership skills are unique having served healthcare, government and academia. He was twice elected the Mayor (2009-2015) of Winter Park, Florida.
Bradley last served as the Senior Executive Officer for the South and West market of central Florida, overseeing 3 hospitals with four emergency departments. Together, these facilities cared for over 34,000 hospital admissions, staffed over 460 inpatient beds and treated well over 200,000 annual emergency department visits. Collectively the market hospitals generated more than $ 640 million of net revenue annually. Bradley oversaw a budget of more than $ 465 million and capital budgets over $ 300 million. The market had over 3,000 employees. The flagship hospital of the market—AdventHealth Celebration Health—is known internationally for robotic surgery, wellness and medical education.
Bradley has vast experience in mergers and acquisitions, having led two major hospital acquisitions for Adventist Health Systems: in 1993 as Kissimmee Memorial Hospital became Florida Hospital Kissimmee (now AdventHealth Kissimmee) and in 2000 when Winter Park Memorial Hospital joined Florida Hospital. Both Hospitals became fully accretive to AdventHealth and its mission.
Bradley has been on the forefront of healthcare innovations:
• Serving on the development team for Florida Hospital’s Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) in 2015,
• Creating the Florida Hospital Orthopedic Institute (2001),
• An early adopter and pioneer in Florida Hospital’s efforts for Women’s Services (2005)
• Creating visionary and unique services for seniors—including the region’s first Geriatric Emergency Department (2012)
• Bradley also led the development of FH Celebration Health in 1995-1996 and developed one of the nation’s first hospitals with Universal Patient rooms.
Bradley has led major construction and expansions including at AdventHealth Kissimmee, twice at AdventHealth Celebration Health, major AdventHealth Orlando projects as executive leader for facilities along with major expansions and the rebuilding of AdventHealth Winter Park. Bradley provided executive leadership to Florida Hospital (now AdventHealth Orlando) facilities. He has designed and built over 2,000,000 million square feet of space including new hospitals, hospital expansions, emergency departments and professional office buildings.
Bradley also has worked with community entities like the Winter Park Health Foundation to build a state-of-the-art fitness | wellness center.
Today Bradley is also a community leader, investor and philanthropist:

• Serving on the AdventHealth Zephyrhills and Dade City Board of Directors
• Serving on the AdventHealth Winter Park Family Foundation Board
• Winter Park Publishing Board of Directors
Previously, Bradley served on the University of Central Florida’s Board of Trustees, America’s second largest public University from 2016-2021. Bradley was appointed to the Board by then Florida’s Governor Rick Scott.
Bradley is a gifted fund raiser, raising over $ 20 million for the hospital. In 2017, Bradley chaired the central Florida American Heart Association heart walk which raised in excess of $ 700,000.
